About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Controls Design and Development to join their Technology Risk and Controls team. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the company’s cybersecurity and technology risk and control framework. Responsibilities include serving as the lead on controls design, developing workstreams across global technology services, and maintaining and improving the methodology for monitoring and measuring threat risks. The VP will also collaborate with risk governance to design and implement a risk and control framework, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of risk and control assessment activities, and work with various stakeholders to build a culture of accountability and ownership for controls.
Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s degree being a plus, and at least 16-18 years of overall industry experience. A minimum of 8 years’ in information security or general IT areas related to risk management is required, with a preference for those who have worked in the financial industry. The role demands strong communication, time management, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Experience with industry standard frameworks and professional certifications such as CISA or CRISC is also preferred.
