Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Vice President of Growth, Intelligence Sector. Reporting to the Interim Division Senior Vice President, this leader will drive strategy, business development and direct a diverse team of business development and capture resources focused on the continued growth and success of the Intelligence Sector. The Growth Leader of the Intelligence Sector will participate in enterprise-wide decision making working collaboratively with the broader operations organization, solutions, pricing, and capture infrastructure to ensure maximum growth and success of this sector. It is against this backdrop that GDIT is looking to hire a driven, influential, collaborative, innovative individual with the right mix of strategic vision, proven leadership and knowledge of the full business development life cycle to be the next Vice President, Growth – Intelligence Sector.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Specifically, the new Vice President of Growth, Intelligence Sector will:

Leads and develops new business opportunities, oversees capture activities, price-to-win, GWAC, Growth Operations (data, metrics, budget, compliance), proposals, and marketing efforts. Drives overall improvements and excellence in the business capture and proposal process – has tangible ideas and strategies that have proven successful in prior roles.

Recommends sales strategies based on market research and competitor analyses.

Implements strategies and approaches to increase the win rate. Directs implementation and execution of proposals, policies and practices.

Develops and demonstrates a clear understanding of the market with a clear view of market trends over the next five years. Drives strategy around growing the GDIT portfolio – new customers, new markets, new offerings.

Bring the business to the next level in terms of its evolution through substantial and sustained growth, both organically and via strategic M&A initiatives. Provides leadership in the development of M&A, teaming and alliance partner management.

Use influence, relationship management skills, and knowledge to identify, analyze and anticipate marketplace trends; expand government, industry and stakeholder awareness of the solutions offered by GDIT to the Intelligence community globally. Build and leverage a network of relationships in industry and government to enhance GDIT’s overall market position.

Maintain awareness of and communicate appropriate information regarding budget and legislative initiatives affecting corporate goals and business area programs.

Develop professional relationships with leaders in industry and Intelligence community and be considered a professional resource to them, assisting in the development of requirements and requests for proposals, and possesses the knowledge and expertise to develop strategic teaming strategies as required.

Work with the business unit leaders to shape growth agendas and related plans and priorities engaging them in the pursuit of new opportunities. Quickly gain credibility as an expert resource in the business development and market strategy arena. Maintain a holistic view of opportunities and work with business unit leaders to prioritize them in order to allocate efforts and budgets according to win rate potential. Must be able to influence the group growth operations and collaborative and value-added manner.

Work effectively with staff, maintaining open communication and resolving issues quickly while encouraging innovation and listening for ideas that yield enhanced performance.

The successful candidate will possess an outstanding record of professional experience and high character that will thrive in an environment of collegiality and high accountability.

The hired incumbent will possess the following experience and qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in Strategy, Business Development, Profit and Loss Management, Capture, Pricing and Proposals all the while driving top-line growth within the federal contracting arena (ideally with experience in the Intelligence customer market).

Superior EQ and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders. Highly collaborative with the capacity to build consensus through persuasion versus direct authority. Humility. Team approach and strong informal influencing skills. Be seen by the business unit stakeholder as a trusted advisor to support their success.

Demonstrated success leading change and growth in a complex, multi-dimensional organization ($1B+) with a track record of driving excellence in the business capture and proposal process for large-scale government programs.

Business sophistication, stature, and experience to serve as a value-added member of the Intelligence sector, helping to shape the future of GDIT on broad topics of company operations and culture.

While strategic vision/innovative thinking is sought, it is also important that the candidate be willing to roll up their sleeves, when required, to advance the business; a strategist that can recommend and act.

Demonstrated and proven leadership skills; people always – a history of building purpose-driven, high-performance organizations. Passionate in leading a large and diverse team in a culture where leaders are approachable, engaged, committed and focused on the customer and employees.

Parallel experience leading customer acquisition and business development activities of significant and relevant size and scale with a strong track record of winning work from complex government services organizations.

The candidate must have the ability to structure key partnerships and alliances and establish and grow new relationships critical to the success of this business.

The successful candidate must be intimately familiar with the rules, regulations, and requirements that drive the government customer capture and delivery process.

Previous success scaling revenue growth and contract opportunities within the Department of Homeland Security, highly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree is required

The likely salary range for this position is $290,056 – $345,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
