job purpose:
The Director of Data & Decision Intelligence will play a lead role in delivering on fairlife’s ambition of building a best-in-class Data and Decision Intelligence (DDI) ecosystem.
responsibilities:
- Drive day-to-day service delivery for analytics platform, leading initiatives to improve performance, scalability, and resilience of services
- Lead the development and execution of DDI strategy and roadmaps aligning with fairlife’s overall goals & objectives
- Drive data visualization strategy and execution for all aspects of the business, including real-time manufacturing shop floor visuals
- Lead planning and communication with senior leadership and stakeholders to drive prioritization and initiatives
- Work closely with DDI team members to support solution design and engineering for all aspects of the analytics platform
- Build trust by establishing a culture of quality, transparency, and high levels of customer service
- Lead a team of developers ensuring that individuals are thriving and reaching their full potential
- Partner with other groups to develop, enforce, and manage certain architectural and infrastructural standards, policies, and best practices
- Establish & maintain data governance and quality standards to ensure best in class data accuracy and reliability of reporting
skills/qualifications:
- 8-10+ years’ leadership and/or relevant experience required
- Technical expertise in data and analytics, including hands-on experience as a developer or data engineer
- A strong demonstrated aptitude for modern product development practices
- Experience leading technical engineering and/or product management, heavily focused on data analytics and business intelligence
- Ideal candidates will have strong individual contributor experience within product development
- Experience building and deploying self-service reporting solutions using business intelligence or data visualization software
- Expertise in SQL, data warehousing solutions and database modeling in a business environment
- Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methods
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education or experience
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Work experience in or related to manufacturing
