About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the fundraising efforts from private sources, executing communication strategies, and ensuring the success of a Capital Campaign over the next three years. This role involves cultivating new relationships and donors, expanding the donor base, and working closely with the Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors to achieve fundraising goals. The Chief Development Officer will also serve as a key spokesperson, manage the development team, and oversee the organization’s brand and communication strategy.

Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a nonprofit setting, with a proven track record of leading a development department and managing multiple donor relationships. Specific expertise in human services and experience with a capital campaign are essential. The role requires impeccable communication skills, a natural affinity for relationship-building, and the ability to lead a high-performing team.
