About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of supporting and empowering LGBTQIA+ teens and young adults. The CEO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in partnership with the Board of Directors, overseeing the organization’s financial, programmatic, and administrative management, and serving as the primary representative of the organization to external stakeholders. This includes re-establishing and building relationships with donors and corporate partners, as well as advocating for the community at local, state, and national levels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the nonprofit sector, experience in fundraising, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They should also be adept at managing a diverse team, maintaining a transparent and equitable organizational culture, and have a background in programs related to the LGBTQIA+ community, such as those addressing homelessness or HIV.

Candidates for the CEO position at the company should possess a strategic mindset, the ability to drive vision and purpose, and the courage to lead with integrity. The role requires a leader who can instill trust, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and is adept at creating buy-in with staff and volunteers. Experience in board governance, knowledge of the local political climate, and a background in trauma-informed work are also essential.
