About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Core Operations Control Testing, who will be a key member of the team responsible for the end-to-end monitoring of operational controls within the Core Operations department. The successful candidate will be an execution-oriented individual with a strong background in risk and controls, acting as a subject matter expert in control testing. This role involves supporting the control testing utility, assessing control design, and developing testing procedures. The VP will also be accountable for control testing results, providing insights, and driving continuous improvements in control testing processes. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role requires negotiation at a senior level and the ability to influence and guide colleagues in other areas.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and at least 5 years’ of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ in risk and controls roles. The role demands an independent thinker with advanced skills in MS Office and a strong understanding of MCA frameworks. The VP will be responsible for control design assessment, outlier disputes, and for creating materials for senior meetings. The ability to work effectively in virtual teams and across different geographies is preferred. The candidate should be adept at maintaining relationships with partners and stakeholders, driving accountability, and demonstrating a high level of responsibility over technical strategy. The role also includes a focus on compliance with regulations and the company’s policies, and the candidate should be capable of effectively supervising and managing others in line with these standards.
