**POSITION SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Executive Managing Director HSE, the Director HSE Technology supports the vision, executes the business model and leads the productization strategy for HSE Technology and associated services. This includes governance, portfolio rationalization and individual project management of key technology products and associated initiatives.

The incumbent will drive overall product expectations through high-level and detailed business requirements to ensure technology enables HSE key business drivers. Considerations include productization of HSE technology through the full development lifecycle, including business design, implementation, change management and appropriate sustainment.

This position interfaces closely with key HSE leadership and the Digital & Technology (D&T) organization as well as partners closely with various key executives and leaders in the GWS business.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Business Technology Strategy & Industry Leadership

+ With support from HSE leadership, develops and executes on a high-impact strategy/roadmap for HSE technology enablement aligned to strategic business goals and growth priorities; influences, stakeholders and obtains support from business leaders and senior management for successful execution and integration with existing technology platforms.

+ Establishes the firm as a recognized leader in HSE technology for use by internal customers & clients; partners with HSE Professional Services to market productization to outside firms and industry groups to build brand, accelerate external HSE services and market access through partnerships.

Technical Product Development, Delivery & Operations

+ Leads technical efforts to automate, integrate and optimize HSE workflows throughout various CBRE enterprise business systems and tools, including HSE Management System.

+ Oversee the implementation of a data platform to allow broad data access consumption and management across the organization; includes establishing and maintaining (and where required developing) business data governance to ensure quality, integrity and security of organizational data.

+ Manages the cultural and organizational changes necessary for strong technology adoption and digital transformation.

+ Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key partners, including Digital & Technology, Finance, Legal, Communications, Marketing and business teams.

+ Communicates the value, status and impact of HSE enabling technology initiatives to executives and other stakeholders in HSE and business operations through high-level presentations, budget reviews, etc.

+ In partnership with various teams, including Pursuits/solutions architecture, transitions teams, and active accounts, works to ensure appropriate legal, commercial and HSE guardrails are in place to deliver technology services for clients.

+ Partners with marketing and creative teams to develop HSE technology supporting business development and pursuit material including slicks, leave-behinds, etc. for all technology initiatives.

+ Represents CBREs internal HSE Technology products in client-facing meetings including presenting during key account pursuits & participates in marketing/strategy sessions.

+ Works to trademark key HSE technology intellectual property of the company to drive competitiveness and differentiation.

Applications Support

+ Oversees Tier I service management help desk to ensure high-quality and efficient technology incident report, escalation and resolution.

+ Makes informed decisions through a variety of channels, including a strong data-driven mindset using metrics, analytics and other data sources to refine product strategy and enhance performance outcomes.

+ Understands clients needs through a variety of channels, including interfacing with internal CBRE teams, individual client conversations and formal Voice of the Customer.

Staff Management

+ Manages a team of direct reports across the globe in various time zones; understands the criticality of a follow the sun approach; mindful of inclusion to help drive the best decision and business outcomes.

+ Provides prompt and appropriate work and performance feedback, on-the-job guidance & training and conducts timely formal performance planning & evaluations.

+ Makes recommendations in hiring, termination and compensation decisions.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**

**Required**

+ Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in computer science, engineering, occupational safety or business; can be substituted for relevant experience.

+ Minimum 15 years of experience architecting, integrating and automating large-scale software systems; at least 7 years of experience with enterprise-level systems; 7+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing and sustaining EHS systems.

+ Minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience leading multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

+ Experience managing multiple concurrent enterprise projects through the entire development lifecycle, from inception to delivery and subsequent sustainment.

+ Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, content management systems (CMS) and cloud-oriented data warehouse, platforms and data lake integration technologies such as Snowflake.

+ Experience with SaaS & Wed technologies, standards and architecture styles (ex. JSON, REST).

+ Leadership experience with large organizations supporting policy making, regionalization, change management, cultural change, and regional team leadership.

+ Experience in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment where not all team members are direct-reports.

+ Effective communication ability to influence and build broad consensus across multiple disciplines, business areas and levels of the business; strong ability to engage with and translate technical and non-technical concepts between teams to drive simplification.

**Preferred**

+ Experience with HSE platform systems such as Intelex, Gensuite, Enablon or other HSE 3rd party systems

+ A proven track record of executing and operationalizing a global strategy successfully across a complex, regional structure including successfully driving a change agenda.

+ Experience with CMMS on premise and cloud-based computer systems such as Maximo, eMaint, Fixd, etc.

**CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES**

+ PMP (Project Management) Certification or equivalent is required.

+ Certified Safety Professional or Associate Safety Professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) is desirable.

+ Certifications in 9001 quality standards is desirable.

+ Demonstrated project management experience

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills

+ Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Project, Microsoft office suite

+ Clear understanding and articulation of HSE Management Systems leadership commitment, accountability, effective communication, auditing, and performance metrics.
