SALARY: $63,000 – $75,000

General Job Description

An operations coordinator/director is the key to the success of our business. This position sees to it that all the services provided by our transportation company are effective and efficient within the organization. They accomplish this by ensuring human resources are properly allocated by matching skill sets with tasks. They also create work assignments, track progress and complete progress reports. In addition, they ensure proper scheduling is addressed and troubleshoot issues that arise daily. They manage the vehicle fleet by making sure services and maintenance are up to date.

Qualifications for the Job

Education:

BA in Business or Logistics Field or equivalent experience

Experience:

4 years of supervisory experience in the passenger transportation industry

Other:

Knowledge of CCBDD and DODD

Exposure to Networking and Collaboration Efforts

Experience working with the Developmentally Disabled and Senior populations

Familiarity with the field of DSP

Experience transporting passengers

CPR/First Aid, DRIVE, and DODD Training a plus but not required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial growth and profitability of service operation
  • Monthly operation performance reviews and implement action plans where needed
  • Engage in objective setting, reviewing and monitoring performance with staff
  • Manages contracts and renewals
  • New business execution and implementation
  • Manages customer relationships, satisfaction and retention
  • Quality and effectiveness of services
  • Tactical alignment of resources to promote operational success
  • Monitors, develops, and executes service policies, procedures and practices
  • Lead and manage 20+ member of the operational team
  • Execution of tactical planning
  • Oversight of fleet logistics
  • Ensures all state and federal safety regulations are adhered to
  • Human Resources duties including hiring, training, development and supervision of operational staff
  • Leads the company in positive morale and quality customer service
  • Promotes a safe, reliable and efficient operating environment
  • Responsible for the networking with client and agency contacts to improve working community relationships
  • Opena and closes business as needed
  • Administers vehicle policy and incident reporting
  • Stand as Key Support Person for operational staff in every capacity
  • Oversight of operational performance management system
  • Acts as a resource guide for the transportation business
  • Filing, reporting and documentation as specified in the role

Physical Requirements

Be able to pass a physical examination without limitations.

No history of seizures or seizure-like activity that would endanger your ability to drive.

The ability to stay seated at the controls of a vehicle for extended periods of time.

Repeatedly be able to enter and exit a vehicle to help passengers on and off the vehicle.

Be able to push a passenger in a wheelchair short distance and safely around curbs and steps.

Be able to guide him/herself in and around a wheelchair vehicle with or without passengers on board.

Be able to bend, crouch and/or kneel without limitations.
