Job Description
As President, you will play a key role driving CEA’s growth and impact by crafting and executing a strategic plan that aligns every team, initiative, and tactic with the organization’s mission to unite, equip, and represent Christian-owned businesses, ensuring the protection of religious freedom and fostering environments where employees, businesses, and communities can thrive. This role is critical to ensure the organization’s growth and sustainability, with key responsibilities in strategic planning, innovative marketing, membership expansion, financial management, and team leadership.
Reporting to the Board, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit leadership, an understanding of the marketplace and the needs of Christian business owners, and experience in political advocacy. This role requires a leader with a strategic planning orientation, capable of guiding CEA through the evolving political and cultural landscape while ensuring its long-term success and sustainability.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of executive leadership experience in a nonprofit, business, or membership organization, or commensurate experience.
- High-level strategic/critical thinking and planning ability.
- Proven history of generating new revenue streams and improving financial results.
- Active fundraising experience with excellent donor and member relations skills.
- Success in growing a membership organization.
- Established relationships with influential individuals and organizations.
- Experience as a national media spokesperson and effective advocacy for Board policies.
- Effective communication of the organization’s mission and policy positions to various audiences. Strong public speaking ability.
- Strong Strong Business Acumen and Entrepreneurial Mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.
- Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting.
- Transparent and high-integrity leadership.
- Agreement with the CEA Statement of Faith and Ethical Convictions.
- Understanding and possible engagement in the Faith in Work movement and organizations. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High work ethic with a high degree of energy.
This position will work remotely, overseeing a team of distributed staff.
