As the Senior Director, Employee Engagement and Communications, you will lead and evolve an engagement and internal communications strategy that scales with Maven’s growth and drives it forward. You will work closely with the leadership team, including our Founder & CEO, to lead a team that drives employee engagement and develops communication strategy to champion Maven’s unique culture, values, and business.
As a Senior Director, Employee Engagement and Communications at Maven, you will:
- Develop a strategic employee engagement and internal communication plan that aligns with company objectives, principles, and culture as we continue to grow
- Develop and lead a team across internal communications and employee experience, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Internal communications strategy:
- Oversee strategy and content creation for internal channels, including company meetings, newsletters, intranet in partnership with exec team
- Partner with People team, Marketing, and other departments to ensure consistent communication across the organization and externally
- Manage and execute organizational communications regarding employee departures and structural changes, ensuring messages are delivered with clarity and empathy
- Develop best-in-class hybrid employee experience model:
- Oversee day-to-day workplace management team across NYC headquarters and in hub cities
- Evolve hybrid strategy to build toward plan of multiple office locations in 2025 and beyond
- Built out programming across all locations to drive employee community and connection
We’re looking for you to bring:
- 12+ years of experience in employee engagement or internal communications roles, with 5+ years experience leading a team of internal/employee communications professionals
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to tailor messages to different audiences
- Ability to manage change and adapt communication strategies as company scales
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop creative solutions
For candidates in NYC, the base salary range for this role is $195,000 – $245,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive stock options and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
This role is only open to candidates in the NYC-metropolitan area and will require you to be in-office for 3 days each week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). While flexibility will always be core to Maven’s policies, we also believe in the power of in-person connection. Our hybrid work policy was created with both principles in mind.
This role requires active work authorization in the US.
