The Vice President of Clinical Operations will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations across all our affiliated practices. This executive role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in clinical management, a deep understanding of the dental industry, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The VP of Clinical Operations will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and growth.

Job Duties

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement clinical operational strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Lead the integration of clinical services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery to ensure a seamless patient experience.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive business growth and enhance the quality of care.

Clinical Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of all affiliated practices, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

  • Implement and monitor clinical performance metrics to ensure high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance clinical workflows and patient outcomes.

  • Assist Area Manager in communication with providers, ensures that communication is meaningful and beneficial to clinical success.

  • In collaboration with key team members, help strategize and design software for managing the dental practices and working in conjunction with business support functions.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.

  • Develop and maintain clinical policies and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality patient care.

  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain accreditation and certifications for all clinical services.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical directors, practice managers, and dental professionals.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

  • Responsible for providing training and mentoring to new Dental Area Managers.

  • Recognizes the need for and helps develop training programs or systems and processes.

  • Plays an essential role in recruiting and hiring for all key positions, including doctor recruitment and team leaders.

Patient Care and Experience

  • Champion initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and overall patient experience.

  • Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care across all practices.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage clinical budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.

  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to optimize revenue and profitability.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial forecasts and reports.

  • Responsible for being fully aware of P&L line items, trends, and making suggestions in order to increase revenue and profitability in each office and company as a whole.

  • Conducts audits on operation dashboards, KPI’s, and other reports in order to make recommendations to Area Managers to ensure goals are met and improvements are made to exceed desired targets.

Meeting Requirements

  • Regular Meetings with Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team

Qualifications

  • 5+ years management experience

  • College degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong Communication Skills with both staff and doctors

  • Attention to Detail

  • Ability to apply analytics results to process improvement and strategic thinking

  • Able to travel 40-60% of the time if needed

 

Specific Requirements:

  • Travel will be required frequently in order to maintain appropriate relationships

  • Use of Google Drive, Tableau, WinOMS, Denticon & any other tools required by your direct manager to their full abilities.

  • Dress requires a minimum of business casual when visiting practice locations, or meeting with anyone and acting as a representative to the practices or overall business.
