About the role

Our partner is pioneering the next generation of wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi HaLow silicon. They’re looking for a VP of Marketing who can seamlessly blend technical expertise with creative marketing strategies. In this role, you’ll have the exciting challenge of bringing groundbreaking technology to market and expanding its reach globally. 

As the VP of Marketing, you’ll be the driving force behind our partner’s marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to craft compelling narratives around Wi-Fi HaLow technology. Your role will be pivotal in reaching new audiences and growing market share in this innovative space. 

The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a deep understanding of technical product marketing. You should be comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment where innovation is the name of the game. Your leadership will inspire the global marketing team to new heights of success. 

Key responsibilities: 
Go-to-market: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for current and future chips
  • Create a customer segmentation strategy that caters to a diverse range of clients
  • Forge strategic partnerships with ecosystem partners and solution providers 

Be the customer’s compass: 

  • Equip the sales team with powerful outbound collateral
  • Nurture relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Guide strategic partners in their product launch strategies 

Cultivate a thriving community: 

  • Establish and nurture a vibrant Wi-Fi HaLow software and hardware developer community
  • Lead a team of engineers to support this growing online community

Spread the word: 

  • Be the voice of Wi-Fi HaLow at global trade shows and industry events
  • Champion our partner’s innovations in industry consortiums
  • Share your expertise through thought leadership content
  • Oversee the company’s digital presence to engage and grow the audience

Lead and collaborate: 

  • Inspire and guide the marketing communications team
  • Spearhead an internal open-source hardware and software engineering team
  • Foster collaboration with founders, sales, product, and engineering teams

Steer the ship: 

  • Define and drive quarterly marketing objectives aligned with company goals
  • Manage the marketing budget efficiently to achieve business objectives
  • Develop metrics to measure the impact of marketing initiatives

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of relevant semiconductor industry experience as a Product Marketing Director. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wireless IoT connectivity standards, with a focus on IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi
  • Understanding of SOC architectures
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modeling
  • Passion for learning about new technologies and markets
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required, MS or Technology MBA preferred
