Havas Media Network North America, the Media Experience agency, is looking for a Director – Freelance to join the Paid Search Team, part of our global community of 10,000 team members who are focused on using Meaningful Media to make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people.

Havas Media is looking for a Director, Paid Search with experience managing complex paid search engagements, leading junior level staff, and working with demanding clients in the pharma industry. This role is freelance and would run October to May.

We are open to remote, within the US, for this role. Working eastern or central hours is preferred.

A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

Campaign Planning, Management & Optimization

  • Create and manage campaigns to effectively deliver client objectives and targets
  • Ensure best practice set up and ongoing management of campaigns
  • Oversee optimization of campaigns manually and through utilization of bid management tools
  • Complete and manage the forecast and plan of monthly budgets in line with client objectives
  • Development and planning of performance media strategy largely independently
  • Management of direct reports to effectively manage & optimize campaigns

Reporting & Analysis

  • Interpret performance reporting data for clients on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis
  • Present campaign strategy and report on key performance milestones to date
  • Be able to direct and/or execute optimizations based on performance analysis

Team Management

  • Manage personal development plans for all direct reports ensuring SMART objectives are set
  • Develop performance media knowledge, tech knowledge and skill sets of direct reports
  • Provide regular support and advice to help progress direct reports
  • Responsible for all your team’s daily operations
  • Overseeing accurate and timely finance administration and budget
  • Take a lead role in recruitment for the Paid Search team

Performance Innovation

  • Help to drive innovation and creative search solutions for clients
  • Lead team and company trainings on the world of performance media
  • Ensure beta participation for clients and work alongside other online and offline account teams to deliver an integrated digital marketing solution
  • Reflect the agency ambition and vision in all work, and lead and inspire the team to follow high standards
  • Deliver improvements in Paid Search opportunities, client delivery, and Paid Search product across the wider Paid Search team
  • Identify and progress commercial opportunities for your clients
  • Assist VP on answering RFP’s and may participate in new business pitches

WHAT YOU’LL NEED/SKILLS:

  • Experience with running paid search in pharma is a must
  • Performance media experience required
  • Management experience required
  • Intermediate – Advanced level Excel skills required
  • Drives development of team members, gives constructive and on-going feedback
  • Continually strives to seek innovative ways to find solutions for our clients
  • Be the senior client channel lead for your accounts
  • Able to see big picture perspective and apply appropriately to brand
  • Client Acumen, skilled at managing clients and setting clear goals / expectations
