Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 per year
About the Facility: Our client, a 240-bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility in the Bronx, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their nursing team. Position Overview: The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee all aspects of nursing care in the facility, ensuring that residents receive top-quality care and that nursing staff are well-managed and supported. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the facility’s operations and the well-being of its residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and management of the nursing department.
- Ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to residents while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Recruit, train, and manage nursing staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skillsets.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
- Collaborate with the medical team and other departments to coordinate and optimize resident care.
- Monitor and evaluate resident health outcomes and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle incident reporting, follow-up, and ensure adherence to proper protocols.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional environment for all nursing staff.
Schedule:
- Full-time position, with flexibility based on facility needs.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of New York.
- Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or similar leadership role in a long-term care facility.
- Strong understanding of nursing home regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a large team and ensure a high level of patient care.
