Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

Location: Bronx, NY

Salary: $180,000 – $200,000 per year

About the Facility: Our client, a 240-bed long-term care and skilled nursing facility in the Bronx, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead their nursing team. The facility is known for its commitment to high-quality resident care and a collaborative work environment, offering a rewarding leadership role for the right candidate.

Position Overview: The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee all aspects of nursing care in the facility, ensuring that residents receive top-quality care and that nursing staff are well-managed and supported. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the facility’s operations and the well-being of its residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the nursing department.
  • Ensure the highest quality of care is delivered to residents while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Recruit, train, and manage nursing staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skillsets.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with the medical team and other departments to coordinate and optimize resident care.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident health outcomes and address any concerns promptly.
  • Handle incident reporting, follow-up, and ensure adherence to proper protocols.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional environment for all nursing staff.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position, with flexibility based on facility needs.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of New York.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or similar leadership role in a long-term care facility.
  • Strong understanding of nursing home regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a large team and ensure a high level of patient care.
