JOB SCOPE & PURPOSE
POINT is seeking a motivated and client-focused VP of PR to join our growing team. The applicant will lead the PR process and team and collaborate with agency partners. This applicant is responsible for bringing the brand to life through all touchpoints. This applicant should be exceptionally strong at coming up with new concepts and a master at taking strategic objectives and tying them to ideas that create an emotional connection with customers. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage PR strategy services.
Develop and manage the cost of a client’s project. Provide accurate estimates to the leadership team within the organization.
This role sits at the crossroads of strategy, creativity, media, and data. Working closely with the digital team, client services team, creative team, and media team.
The ideal candidate can successfully lead client relationships, work with senior leadership, and generate agency-wide performance public relations best practices.
Served as the PR strategy lead for the clients as the primary agency point of contact.
Develop, lead, and/or manage client marketing and communications strategies.
Growing the agency through aggressive new business development, including both new prospect identification and driving organic growth from existing clients. Responsible for tracking and reporting all new business leads, meetings, and proposal activity.
Conduct training for team members outside of PR strategy and lead the agency in defining how to speak about public relations performance and ideation with clients.
Manage, mentor, and grow the internal PR team.
Establish a scalable PR development and review process, to ensure that the PR team operates in a highly efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsible for resourcing and implementing procedures for your team’s processes and systems.
Proactively identify client needs and ensure timely and accurate communication.
Contribute to the development and execution of client service plans that meet and exceed client expectations.
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of client’s businesses, brands, customers, and competitive landscapes to contribute to the development of effective solutions aligned with client’s business needs, and project goals.
Builds relationships with each POINT competency to support the completion of client projects.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Assists in building and championing the integration of the business across all competencies within POINT.
Takes an active role in building a positive agency culture.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
8+ years in agency setting experience.
Marketing communications experience, with agency experience strongly preferred
Experience in targeting both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C)
People management experience.
Ability to develop and manage budget forecasts, including P&L
Excellent account management skills
Proven ability to develop effective marketing communication plans, strategies and tactics.
BA/BS degree in journalism, PR/communications, business, liberal arts, marketing, English, or related subject area.
Academic foundation in business, marketing, or communications.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients.
Aptitude for creative problem-solving.
Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
