About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strategic and experienced background in financial and operations leadership. The CFO will be responsible for embodying and supporting the institution’s mission and strategic plan, managing comprehensive financial, investment, and operational initiatives, and providing School-wide strategic leadership. Key responsibilities include overseeing all financial reporting, collaborating on fiscal matters with the Board of Trustees, and managing the administration of the School’s endowment. The CFO will also be involved in the development and presentation of the annual budget, evaluating the performance of the finance office, and ensuring compliance with all financial, tax, and reporting requirements.

Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (MBA or CPA preferred) and at least ten years of senior-level experience in financial and accounting management. Experience in an independent school setting is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial and operational processes, including budgeting, financial planning, and risk management. Skills in financial modeling, and analysis, and a strong knowledge of not-for-profit and educational financial practices are essential. The CFO must demonstrate superb communication, leadership, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, as well as a commitment to equity, inclusion, and the values of the institution.
