About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its operational strategy and execution. The ideal candidate will be a proven strategic executive with over 15 years’ experience in senior operational leadership, particularly within a complex, multidimensional non-profit or for-profit organization. While prior experience in the mental health space is not mandatory, a deep commitment to the core vision of the organization and its mission is essential. The COO will be tasked with preparing the organization for continued growth, scaling its operations, and driving operational excellence. Responsibilities include developing and modernizing the organizational structure, leading strategic planning, and fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency. The successful candidate will be a change agent, adept at managing high-level strategic objectives and tactical execution, and will have a strong background in business and technology, with a focus on operations, logistics, and IT systems.

Applicants for the COO position at the company should be visionary leaders with a passion for social change and a track record of success in change management. The role requires a hands-on approach, the ability to seamlessly navigate between strategic and tactical levels, and a commitment to building a diverse and inclusive environment. The COO will work closely with the CEO, the National Board of Directors, and Advisory Councils, and will be the primary liaison to outside legal counsel on governance matters. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high integrity, and a strong set of values that align with those of the organization. Experience in a federated model is preferred, and the role demands a leader who is constantly seeking ways to improve workflows, streamline communication, and leverage technology to advance the organizational mission.
