Overview:
The Executive Director is responsible for overall administration, operation, maintenance and development of Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.
Responsibilities:
Duties & Activities:
- Act as direct representative of the Airport Commission to the public, press, aviation community, and appropriate government entities.
- Develop and submit to Airport Commission action plans and policies for both short and long term airport development.
- Implement and administer policies of the Airport Commission.
- Assign supervisory responsibilities to subordinates and evaluate performance.
- Direct and monitor compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Works with Federal and State Legislators to pass or change legislation that benefits the Airport.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance. Works extended hours, outside of regular shift schedule, as required by operational needs.
- Respond to and assist with Airport emergencies. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Oversight of entire Organization budget.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, maintenance management, airport management or engineering.
Experience:
- Six years experience as an airport director or deputy director at a smaller or medium hub commercial service airport.
- Extensive knowledge of principles and practices of modern airport management which has been acquired through verifiable work experience and education.
Certifications:
- A.A.E. or C.M. certification from American Association of Airport Executives desireable.
- Pilots license desirable.
