Overview:

As a Director, you will be responsible in driving select projects identified in the strategic function ranging from strategic planning process, providing actionable market intelligence and overseeing alignment of corporate resources with strategic plans.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Aid in directing Gallagher Bassett’s strategic planning process, working in partnership with the strategy leader, company executives and business leaders across the organization
  • Drive gathering and maintaining actionable market and competitive intelligence to inform the process, serving as a source of thought leadership and innovative ideas, and overseeing alignment of corporate resources with strategic plans
  • Formulate strategic communications to senior leadership and key external stakeholders
  • Develop and evaluate strategic proposals and alternatives for consideration
  • Aid in preparation of strategic planning document for use by GB leadership together with a summary for presentation to the Arthur J Gallagher board
  • Aid in recruiting and developing staff members of strategic planning team
  • Develop and maintain frameworks to guide key decisions
  • Own execution on analysis projects commissioned by GB business units and staff functions

About you:

  • Exceptional quantitative problem solving skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years experience with quantitative analysis
  • Bachelors degree or higher with strong academic credentials
  • Advanced level with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Less than 20% travel

Preferred

  • Masters/MBA degree
  • Familiarity with Access or enterprise database programs a plus
  • Knowledge of commercial P&C Insurance
