Position Summary:

Perforce is searching for a Senior Director of Business Applications to join the team. Partnering with the VP of IT in this challenging global position, the Senior Director of Business Applications is responsible for understanding all business goals, anticipating business needs, and proactively providing technology solutions. This role will work closely with senior business stakeholders to align Perforce’s technical strategy with optimized business processes, lead system implementations, and process automation. This leader will also be responsible for significant acquisition integration and guiding onboarding of acquired companies.

The successful candidate will establish the technology roadmap and execute innovative solutions to drive continuous change and growth. The Senior Director will lead the customization/development, quality assurance and application support of multiple software solutions to support the business interests. In addition, this role will continue to develop a group of technology teams and leadership talent dedicated to pushing the limits of continuous improvement. The Senior Director, Business Applications oversees system solutions providing improved scalability to help meet objectives and increase business growth. The Senior Director, Business Applications drives innovation while creating emerging technologies and making recommendations on the strategic use of technology to improve business operations. Effectively inspires, leads and influences teams and partners in delivering technology enabled business solutions. Works closely with other technology teams to foster an environment of the right tools and practices for full utilization of business applications and implementation.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for business applications that aligns with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Provide technical sponsorship and leadership for business system programs and projects, including integration of acquired companies.
    • Provide leadership and guidance in the selection, implementation, management, optimization and support of complex enterprise software systems (e.g., Salesforce, ERP, HRIS, Integrations, etc.).
    • Direct strategic decisions for business application tools by building business cases to implement new internal applications or technologies to support business objectives.
    • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, including application administrators, developers, architects and analysts to design solutions, plan and develop projects, and execute on technical roadmap, and oversight of the business applications portfolio to support day-to-day operations.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, and professional development to build a strong and capable team.
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex business application projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Implement best practices for project management, including risk management, resource allocation, and quality assurance with automation to boost operational efficiency.
    • Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of all business application systems.
    • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for software development, implementation, and support.
    • Manage relationships with software vendors, consultants, and other external partners to optimize service delivery and contract performance.
    • Develop and manage the budget for the business applications department, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in leadership roles, specializing in business applications and enterprise systems.
    • Proven expertise in Salesforce and experience with other Go-To-Market applications (e.g. Marketo, NetSuite, and Workato)
    • Experience balancing long-term strategic direction and transformation with near-term daily technical execution to support day-to-day operations.
    • Strong project and program management skills with a track record of successful delivery.
    • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder) are highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to accountability
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complemented by strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
    • Enthusiastic about leveraging technology to lead business transformation.
