ABOUT THIS ROLE
Orchestra is seeking a Director, Analytics & Insights to be a critical component in the growth and development of our Analytics and Insights team. We are looking for someone who understands the strategic importance of accurate and insightful data storytelling, is deeply familiar with analytics tools, and has the ability and desire to build expertise around analyzing the performance of content.
This person will be able to easily navigate a variety of audience, platform, and intelligence tools to provide impactful analyses, in support of the agency’s analytics deliverables. Having a strong desire to develop and execute rigorous methodologies and the end goal of effectively communicating the strategic implications and impact to our clients will be critical in this role. Most importantly, this person should be curious, driven, and excited about the ideas of what’s possible, learning from data and developing insights.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Work with a growing team of innovative analytics professionals to deliver interesting and impactful data-driven insights to a vast range of clients
Develop and learn new analytics and tool skills, supporting the evolution of Orchestra’s analytics product offering
Lead the production of external reports and analysis for clients & interagency stakeholders to support data-backed findings and strategic recommendations
Support multiple types of analyses, including competitive landscape analysis, white space assessments, performance measurement, audience insights, owned content audits, etc.
Create comprehensive measurement plans for analyzing owned, social, and earned properties
Assist in business development and growth by working with an interagency team to inform our proposal strategy and ongoing client analytics deliverables
Work closely across an integrated agency team to develop data strategies (e.g. metric definitions, data capture, visualization, storytelling, etc.)
Keep up to date on best practices, tools and news in the analytics industry
Essential skills:
At least 7+ years of insights experience, demonstrating career progression
Excitement and passion toward developing and executing data-driven strategies and insights, along with a solid understanding of the digital landscape
Strong communication skills and a builder mentality, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries: ability to share techniques with the larger Orchestra community
Extensive tool knowledge of a wide range of analytics tools, experience with applicable tools will suffice. Relevant tools include:
Owned: Google Analytics
Earned : Brandwatch, Talkwaker, Netbase, Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack
Social: Sprout Social
Familiarity with dashboard tools, such as Google Analytics, Google’s Looker Studio, Databox, etc.
Track record of implementing operational excellence (process efficiencies, effective tools, and technologies) in an analytics function
Previous experience working with a wide range of clients across industries in a face-paced agency environment
Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gain deeper understanding of consumer behavior, attitudes, preferences
Experience training, mentoring, managing teammates
Knowledge of advanced analytics and statistical modeling, preferred
WORKING AT ORCHESTRA
Salary range: $130,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience & skills) plus end-of-year bonus (based on firm, team and individual performance).
