About the Role

You’ll be part of our Global Clinical Innovation & Solution Delivery team (GCISD). Playing a crucial role in driving solution strategy within our organization and across Elsevier. Aligning clinical strategy to editorial, product, and operational teams around roadmaps and delivery timelines. Helping to lead the development of strategy focused on solving clinical customer and user problems. This role will report into the Global VP, Clinical Strategy & Partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and articulating the clinical strategy for physician-facing solutions including those targeting point-of-care, continuing medical education, and graduate medical education.
  • Driving execution of GCISD strategic plans for physician-facing solutions in alignment with Global Content, Product, Informatics delivery teams.
  • Ensuring clinical strategy is data-driven and informed from customers, research, and other clinical inputs (internal and
    external). Additionally, ensure strategic alignment with UX, Technology, and Global regions with clinical relevancy.
  • Tracking clinical engagement metrics to support ongoing solution improvement and success.
  • Identifying and supporting prioritization of opportunities for innovation in clinical content, product features, enhancements, and functionality. Building clinician engagement and loyalty, reach, and revenue
  • Seeking opportunities to leverage clinical content and platforms to optimize scalability. View solutions with a global perspective and partner with the Director, Globalization Strategy, and local teams in considering localization requirements.
  • Understanding and anticipating industry trends in healthcare delivery, health tech, decision support, professional development, digital content development. Leveraging insights to accelerate strategic initiatives.
  • Cultivating a network of high-quality contacts, potential partners, current and emerging thought leaders, educators, and other clinical leaders.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with key business stakeholders. Working with colleagues across Elsevier such as Health Markets and Life Sciences to optimize opportunities for synergy and alignment.

Requirements

  • Medical license and board certification with at least 5-10 clinical practice years of experience(post-training).
  • Display demonstrated success and leadership in
    developing products for use within clinical workflows (experienced). You understand the nuances and opportunities in the healthcare landscape.
  • Experience (current or past) working in a global organization in the delivery of clinical products and/or services. Additionally, you understand clinical safety and regulatory processes and requirements related to medical device determination highly valued.
  • Have a history of academic faculty appointment and teaching medical students and residents highly valued.
  • Have exceptional communication skills and effective collaboration with non-clinical leaders.
  • Have entrepreneurial skills and ability to drive progress of new initiatives and change.
  • Able to work well in a matrixed organization and on cross-functional teams with occasional travel.
  • Display strategic perspective and ability to communicate strategic vision and plans effectively. You are a results-oriented self-starter with sense of urgency.
  • Have outstanding critical thinking, influencing skills and analytical skills.
