Title: Director, Installation Operations
Reports to: Senior Vice President, Installation Operations

Location: Culver City – Chargie HQ
Hours: 7am – 4pm, Mon-Fri
Strategic Objective:
Chargie, a leading EV charging turnkey service provider, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Installation Operations to lead and oversee the electrical installation process for EV chargers. The Director of Installation Operations will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation of charging infrastructure, contributing to the growth and sustainability of electric vehicle adoption. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, project management, and team leadership.
Detailed Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the installation operations strategy in alignment with Chargie’s business goals and objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance installation processes, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless project execution.
Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end installation process, from site assessment and planning to equipment installation and commissioning. Lead a team of installation technicians to ensure timely and high-quality installations.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet targets and deliver projects on time and within budget.
Technical Expertise
- Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Review and approve electrical designs and plans, ensuring they meet technical requirements and customer specifications.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure installations adhere to Chargie’s standards and meet customer expectations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improvement and address any issues promptly.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with utility companies, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and grid connections.
Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor installation teams, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous learning.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or a relative 4-year Electrical trade school completion
- Minimum of 4-6 years of leadership experience in project management, electrical installations, and operations, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards related to EV charger installations.
- Previous experience managing and leading teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- A passion for sustainable energy and electric vehicle charging technology.
The Nice to Haves (preferred additional skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)
- Active C10 electrical contractor’s license
- EVITP certification
- Proficiency working in Smartsheets, Jira or similar project management tools
All positions within Chargie require the following (unless otherwise specified or required for the job):
- Physical Ability:
- Sit up to 5 hours per day
- Stand up to 5 hours per day
- Lift, carry, push up to 25 lbs
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to listen, read, organize thoughts, analyze, and communicate (both in verbal and written form, in English, in a concise and professional manner).
- Ability to type on a keyboard and utilize the computer work tools constantly and with proficiency (specifically the MS Office Suite)

Salary Description
$130,000-$150,000/yr.
