The Organization
USC Arcadia Hospital was founded in 1903 by the visionary Women’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Church and has grown from humble beginnings into a beacon of healthcare excellence. Situated in one of the nation’s most dynamic regions, this full-service hospital now stands as a pillar of the community, with 348 licensed beds and an Emergency Department that cares for over 40,000 patients each year. Driven by a relentless commitment to providing the best possible care, USC Arcadia Hospital is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic technology, including a 320-slice CT scanner and high-definition MRI. The hospital also leads in advanced medical services, boasting state-of-the-art catheterization labs, electrophysiology, and neuro-interventional radiology, all dedicated to delivering life-saving care and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in modern medicine.
USCAH is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and holds several prestigious certifications, including disease-specific certifications for Acute Myocardial Infarction, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Advanced Heart Failure. The hospital is also accredited by DNV as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and holds various designations by the County of Los Angeles, including being a STEMI (Heart Attack) Receiving Center and an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics.
The hospital’s comprehensive range of services includes a 24-hour emergency department, intensive care units, cardiac and vascular surgery, neurosurgery, comprehensive stroke care, orthopedics, oncology, maternity services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient surgery, and acute physical rehabilitation. USCAH operates two outpatient clinics: the Institute for Women’s Services and the Institute for Surgical Specialties. The hospital’s team consists of over 1,600 employees, 700+ medical staff members, and 150+ volunteers, all dedicated to providing the best possible care.
USCAH has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the best community hospitals in the nation and recently completed a successful Joint Commission Survey. Financially, the hospital achieved its EBITDA margin target last year, largely due to volume growth, and continues to prioritize margin improvement through close collaboration between finance and operations.
USC Arcadia Hospital has annual net revenues (CY 2021) of $295 million, approximately 12K inpatient admissions, 23K outpatient visits, 41K ER visits, 1200 deliveries and 5K surgical cases.
